Born out of sessions in New York and Austin between 2009 and 2010, “One Dog Town” captures Frank Cuthbert surrounded by an extraordinary cast of players.
Produced and mixed by Bobby “Icon” Eichorn, the album blends Cuthbert’s voice and songs with Manny Focarazzo’s keyboards (Alan Parsons Project), Pete O’Brien’s drums (Orleans), and Kyle Esposito’s bass, anchored by Eichorn’s guitars and production. Cindy Cashdollar’s unmistakable slide and dobro work winds through the songs, while George Panos, Kevin Dunn, Manuel Quintana, and Vinnie Cimeno expand the rhythm section. Backing vocals from Tony Harnell, Meg Johnson, Maria Ornelas, and Chavisa add depth and color, giving the project its communal feel. It’s a collaboration that bridges roots, rock, and experimental edges — and it sounds like a band playing at full tilt, with nothing held back.
I want to thank all the people who encouraged and inspired me.
