“High on a mountain, a lonely tree and a fierce young eagle discover the power of friendship.”

A children’s musical about courage, care, and the natural world. With book by Laura Maria Censabella and music & lyrics by Frank Cuthbert, The Last Pine Tree on Eagle Mountain tells the story of a grouchy old pine tree and a restless young eagle who find each other in a world threatened by pollution and loss

The Story

Mr. Green, a grumpy man in the city park, meets Frankie, a spirited kid who dreams of becoming a champion. Through play and imagination, they transform into Pine Tree and Eagle on Eagle Mountain, where a fable unfolds: the last pine tree longs for family, and a lonely eagle seeks safety. Together they confront storms, hunters, and pollution, learning to trust one another and to care for the earth they share.

Blending humor, music, and interactive storytelling, the musical invites young audiences to join in the action—chirping like eaglets, making wind sounds, and helping the forest come alive.

The Last Pine Tree on Eagle Mountain is more than an environmental parable. It’s about resilience, cooperation, and the hope that even in a damaged world, friendship can restore balance. It encourages children to see themselves as caretakers of nature while celebrating their own potential to be champions.
